Knox Men's Shield Single Layer Class AAA Jeans MK2

The Shield MK2 are Knox’s strongest, most technologically advanced jeans yet. This is due to their amazing strength and high-performance Class AAA rating that conforms to EN17092-2:2020. To put this in perspective, the AAA class is normally associated with leather race suits.

They are single-layer Class AAA stretch jeans in a tapered leg – a classic style for those looking for the strongest protection available. Made in a pioneering new denim developed for Knox with Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibre. UHMWPE fibre is one of the world’s strongest and lightest fibres - it is 40% stronger than aramid and fifteen times stronger than steel.

Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene fibres is known for its high strength and durability, yet they still offer added stretch for exceptional all-day comfort on a motorcycle. The denim is made with elastane to provide ease of movement, whilst delivering the highest level of AAA protection. The weave of the denim is unique and delivers unparalleled strength in like-for-like weights.

While the jeans are superior in strength and comfort, the UHMWPE fibre also repels moisture, helping the wearer to stay dry. The Shield Jeans MK2 have the additional benefit of helping the rider to stay cool since the nature of the fibre has properties that pull heat from the body. Regular wear and tear is much less of a concern due to the unique, robust nature of the UHMWPE fibre. Finally, the jeans have the additional benefit of being hypo allergenic and won’t, therefore, cause irritation.

There are two invisible zipped armour pockets with easy external access for removal of low-profile Knox CE Micro-Lock protectors in the knees. These are fitted as standard.

All of this is delivered with a carefully tailored tapered fit which looks perfect both on and off the bike. Updated details such as new technical branding on the waist, Knox branded rivets, key ring and waist button as well as YKK zips all finish these Shield jeans to the incredibly high standards that they are built on. Four deep pockets in a charcoal abstract print make gearing up in the Shield a delight.

The Shield jeans are available in classic indigo blue.

Also available in classic black with a choice of a regular leg length of 33” or a short 30” leg. Sizes are from a S – 3XL. as well as being machine washable, add to their practicality.
